SPONSOR A WINDOW

You can help the United States Lighthouse Society and its Chesapeake Chapter with its restoration of the Hooper Island lighthouse by sponsoring the restoration or replacement of one (1) of the nine (9) double hung wooden windows in the lighthouse.
Because the lighthouse is registered as a Historical Site the Maryland Historical Trust requires that the windows be accurately restored if possible. If it is not posible to restore them due to condition then they must be replaced with historically accurate wooden windows.
The cost to restore each of these windows is approximately $350.00. Windows that can not be restored will be ordered from a local supply company. A donation from you, in the amount of $350.00, will cover all costs for one (1) window; we will acknowledge your sponsorship by placing a plaque with your name(s) at each wooden window you sponsor. However, you do not have to sponsor an entire window; we will acknowledge your donation with a Sponsorship Cerificate that we will mail to you. Your donation is totally tax deductible.
